    E.L.Thorndike’s book “Educational Psychology” published in 1903 marks the birth of educational psychology. Since that, educational psychology has experienced more than 100 years. Its theoretical system has become more perfect and more practically significant. How to improve college English teaching has been the most important issue to discuss for English teachers in these years. And how to stimulate students’ interests in learning, play to their initiative, consciously take the initiative to improve English language learning, develop good study habits in order to achieve the purpose of language mastery are important aspects of educational psychology researches. Therefore, English teachers’ “teaching” and students’ “learning” in the process of college English teaching have close contact with educational psychology theory. Through the elaboration of the introduction of the necessity for educational psychology in college English teaching, it is clear that educational psychology theory is the basis for college English teachers, and knowledge of educational psychology helps reflect on college English teaching and English teaching is the practical application of educational Psychology. The paper also probes into how educational psychology influences and inspires college English teaching by generalizing such educational psychology theories as behavioral psychology, cognitive psychology and humanistic psychology. The application of these educational psychology theories in college English teaching helps improve teaching quality to achieve good teaching results.

    This paper constructs a model about the application of the text mining technology in monitoring the network education public sentiment, according to the characteristics of the network education public sentiment, and the text mining technology which can apply to monitor. it This model can collect related web documents from the Internet by web crawler tool, then transform the web documents collected into TXT documents, after data pre-processing, extract name, date, text, author, title, and other features of the text in a document, remove the duplicate, scripts and other noise data, segment word, tag POS, converse between single and complex, synonyms, based on common dictionaries and professional dictionaries for education public sentiment.

An example in education assessment is illustrated in the paper. The new approach is easy to understand and very simple to be implemented. The result is both quantitative and distinctive. And it shows great potential in the subjective overall assessment.

    Euphemism, as a common linguistic phenomenon, is an important strategy of harmonizing interpersonal relationship. Also Euphemism can help alleviate stiffness of conversation and liven embarrassment in conversations. During English teaching, teachers, must on one hand give a faithful appraisal of students’ cases; and on the other hand take into consideration students’ psychological health and endurance, thus to alleviate the impact of straightforwardness, the application of euphemisms is of much significance. The study on implication of euphemisms or euphemistic expressions in teaching is mostly from the perspective of pragmatics. But pragmatics neglects the important role of communicators as cognitive subjects during communicating, and regards the context as static and given. Relevance theory is a cognitive theory concerned about human communication and utterance understanding. Relevance theory expounds the mechanism of utterance production and understanding and points out that communication is actually a dynamic process of ostension and inference. Based on previous scholars’ fruit of research, the author attempts to make a study on implication of euphemisms in college English teaching from the perspective of relevance theory and get some edification for the second language teaching. So this article discoveries from the perspective of relevance theory on implication of euphemisms in college English teaching can promote more emphasis on affective teaching, will eventually be helpful to raise college English teaching effects and build harmonious teaching atmosphere.

    First put forward by Dulay & Burt in 1977, the affective hypothesis aims to illustrate the affective factors’ influence on the process of foreign language acquisition. Later, it became an indispensable part of Krashen’s SLA theory. This article mainly puts its emphasis on the following: motivation, self-esteem and anxiety. Based on the illustration of these three aspects and the current educational situation in colleges, the author points out that during their teaching process, teachers should make their best to optimize students’ emotional factors, lower their affective filters that is, high motivation, low anxiety, and self-esteem.

    Based on an overall analysis of both the individualistic and collectivistic cultures, this essay intends to explore the field about the disparities between the two cultural ideologies, with a view not only to the cultural manifestations and human behavior but also to the specific aspects related to the different implication on education affected by the respective cultures. The essay first makes a general contrast between collectivistic and individualist cultures and discusses the different effects they’ve brought on the field of teaching and learning. Then it probes into the specific implications on education by taking particular countries as examples to illustrate the influence exerted to the process and outcome of learning and teaching by the respective cultures, such as Low-Context versus High-Context and Independent versus Interdependent, all pertaining to certain special ways of mutual understanding and codes of education under a certain culture. The article concludes that only a comprehensive grasp of the two cultures ensures a genuine and successful inter-cultural communication and education.
